You probably have all realised the amount of excessive promotions for SNSD.
For example, the amount of their own TV shows.
2007: Mnet's Girls' Generation Goes to School
2007: MTV's SNSD
2008: Mnet's Factory Girl
2009: MBC's Girls' Generation Horror Movie Factory (cancelled 06/14/2009 due to low ratings)
2009: KBS Joy's Girls' Generation's Hello Baby
2009: MBC's Girls' Generation's Himnae-ra Him

For the two years they have been around, they've had 6 reality shows.
SHINee who debuted last year have only had 1 reality show, and SNSD had 2 in their debuting year.
Another mention of Dream Concert and the fact SM humiliated and pushed the blame of the boycott onto Cassiopeia, ELF and Triple S to make SNSD look innocent and victimized by their silent protest.
This of course is not entirely the fanclubs fault as on another article I read, they said SONE were saying around the internet that they didn't need anyone else's support.
SM also purposely delayed their comeback due to tough competition from other artists such as Wonder Girls and DBSK. Although DBSK are also an SM artist, they knew SNSD could not shine alongside DBSK- who are one of the highest selling artists of this decade, no?
There was also the award Taeyeon won at Golden Disk Awards last year.
2008 2008 M.NET Golden Disk Awards Yepp Popularity Award "Deullinayo"
Popularity, I hear you say. This award was evidently "bought" by SM to sneak some SNSD into the award show. It was also a fixed award as she knew she was going to win.
SNSD's "success" with Gee is purely based on the fact they had a catchy song. If it was any other band, I'm sure they would of had the same success.
The nine wins on Music Bank are probably bought as well. 9 awards? 9 members? Fishy, much?
Super Junior won 10 awards OVERALL for "Sorry Sorry" which sold more than double their "Gee" album sales. Even if you add their 2 wins for "It's You" it amounts to 12. So SNSD has 9 members and 9 awards, and Super Junior 13 members, 12 awards. However you may deny KiBum's absence...
This one if just based on SM getting other SM artists to promote SNSD.
How many times has "Gee" been performed? You can't even say it's because it's popular or anything because it's SM paying people to try and save a dying song. Just when you think it's gone it comes back again. Like today on Music Bank. But this time they had 2PM to join the party.
Maybe they were jealous last time it was called Wonder Boys so they wanted their own Boys Generation?
A key example for this is Kim Heechul. Everyone knows of his love for Wonder Girls, specifically Sohee. However recently he has stopped with his "obsession" and moved on to SNSD. You may say this is because of Wonder Girls' departure and hiatus in the KPOP industry atm, or you could say SM asked Heechul to stop promoting another band from another company.
From 090626's Music Bank:
SHINee [Juliette]: Key at 2:17 "My Genie"
Super Junior [It's You / Sorry Sorry]: Heechul at 5:02 "I'm Genie for you ELF"
You don't possibly think that they would just say "Genie" in their performance do you? We know Heechul messes around on stage a lot however if you had Key into the picture, I'm pretty sure SM purposely ASKED them to add it into their performance to help promote SNSD.
SM try way too hard to promote a group that will probably fail if it wasn't for this excessive promoting. Why waste your money on them, which you've already spent loads already on their surgery just so they can debut, when you can bring back some actual talent like The Grace?
