SNSD No English

This article might be considered more neutral than anti or whatever. the idea for this article is for the reader to think.(this is my first article ^^)

Recently i been thinking about how SM Entertainment has certain patterns. For example, every three or so are successful group/artist the fourth fails (S.E.S H.O.T & BoA) the fourth was Dana as solo but she wasn't successful and there was BlackWing, not successful. Second round, DBSK CJSH & SuJu SNSD being the fourth are somewhat successful but i think they lost of ground that they had in 2008.

Anyways...another pattern that i have notice in SM Entertainment is the fact that the new artist within a year usually their debut song has an English version. Has anyone noticed that only SNSD hasn't done that? In that way i believe they are single out (other than the fact that LSM wants them to be successful) They are doing things different

Think about this BoA in her early days had: IDPeaceB, EveryHeart, No.1, and Listen To My Heart(Today she is doing her American debut). DBSK: Hug (Today they sing acapella songs both in Japanese and English, mostly in English) CSJH although their songs might not have English versions but they sing the acapella versions of the songs Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling in Love (the first track off their debut single) and George Michael's Faith. SuJu as far as i know they only done KnockOut(Twins) in English. Even SHINee have sung in English (the special performance with SeoInYoung "Umbrella") and they debuted less than 8months

So far it seems, SNSD being around for 1yr and 5 months haven't gone near in doing a song in English while their Sunbaes have within a year of their debut. Even though Jessica and Tiffany are the fluent ones but not much use of their skills. If it took them 3 months to prepare for their comeback(with the repetative formula and being the third to use it [first was WG then KARA and now SNSD) with a MiniAlbum(only 5tracks) that was pushed back TWO times , imagine how much time it could take for the whole 9 member group prepare to something different a.k.a English song:no: . WG are already preparing(working on their English skills) for a AmericanDebut.

Maybe LSM just wants SNSD to be different/special and popular even when it is DBSK and BoA that brings the money and have made SM Entertainment what it is today and should be place in a goldenplate for their success still being strong (come imagine of it would be if SME did not have DBSK and BoA) I predict that SNSD is going to those groups that you know that they success and might have ok/nice songs.

i put the wrong word in my prediction, i meant my prediction was that SNSD is going to be part of those groups that you know that they EXIST and could be considered to have nice/ok songs.

Actually... according to your pattern... ZLY is the fourth one. She debuted after Suju and before Shitdae. And the Shitdae's... two of them anyways... have performed in English. I think it was the song Heaven? Something like that. Tardy did a horrible job though.

But yeah it's true after big success.... there are bound to be failures I guess..hohoho

Suju never did an english version of Twins.. the original song "Knock Out!" was sung by an English band (the name escapes me at the moment) and was bought by SME to be made into "Twins"

1st Gen : H.O.T, S.ES, Shinhwa, BoA, Blackbeat(kinda failed) Dana to me doesn't count coz she does have a huge loyal fanbase and she's in CSJH now

2nd Gen : DBSK, CSJH, SUJU, ZLY, SNSD (failed)

3rd Gen : SHINee, ??????

i did think about ZLY, even though she debuted in Korea presentely now she is mainly focused in the Chinese market.

sorry if i might gotten a name or something wrong but u get my point there is a pattern how SM artists do. although Dana might a fanbase before CJSH but i meant as a solo artist she failed.
OH!!!!i just remember another group Izack & JiYeon(Lina) (something like that) the female version of Fly to the Sky they disappeared (what i read)

^ Lol Isak & JiYeon sorta broke up. I even forgotten about them and FTTS!! Now Lina's in CSJH. Isak is just hanging around? I always see here in SMTown videos. Maybe she's teaching juniors like some of the Blackbeat members.

Tardy and Sicka are bad at English, although they lived in America before, but after all, annoying!
They're just trying to pretend like they know English But in fact, they know...nothing

well, they can never make an english track or debut in the US market when they've only got 2 members who can speak "decent" english.. haha.

isak and jiyeon's the femme version of FTTS?? woah~ LSM sure like femme-homme in his groups.. not to mention that he sees to it that they somehow enter the japanese/chinese market so that they can do instant remakes of their songs in those languages.

"Heaven" shouldn't count as a song seeing that only "JeNy" sang it as to where CSJH The Grace & DBSK had all members sing it AND was put on an actual album/single.

@jaejae, SME always does the "female" version of something; their new girl group is supposed to be the "female SHINee."

Ah, I've always wondered the same things.

i saw a vid where HongKi and Heechul were playing charades in english. They ended up having 11
ewri and tardfany were after them, HOLY! They didnt even get like..5?

I think they are the most unsuccess in SM enter.~

Nice observation skills. I agree with what the person said earlier. Jessica and Tiffany ACT like they know english, not really it's like a few obvious phrases here and some one liners there(ex: OMG!)

I think ShitDae covered an English song, like Hey, Mickey! or something.. they performed horrible though, like chipmunks singing.. gaah my ears

Well you guys are forgetting other groups such as FTTS, Isak N JiYeon, Trax,
There's also S#arp (which was a mix group) plus many more...

The pattern doesn't really fit.

as much as i want to agree....but don't you forget bout M.I.L.K...they disband either because one of the member went to college or insufficient fanbase sth like that...i might be wrong but i like ur pattern~

Actually, the generations go like this

1st generation: H.O.T., SES, Shinhwa, FTTS, BoA (NONE of these failed)
2nd: Black Beat, Isak N Jiyeon, Dana, M.I.L.K., Shinvi (not sure about this order at all, all of these failed :/)
3rd: DBSK, The Trax, CSJH, Super Junior, ZLY, SNSD, Shinee

i think if you're gonna make up a pattern, at least know a little bit of the history or research the history... you're just making antis look worse by making up stuff :/
