But wait up, do our eyes decieve us...
SNSD have not only hit the number 1 spot, but have an impressive 20,000+.
How could that be? I mean some of you have listened to the album, it's pretty much rehashed and recycled pop from other competing artists.
So, what could be selling the album? In such an economic crisis, I mean parents give their kids less of an allowance, if any, even companies have cut back on bonuses and gifts for employees...so what could make the FanAjoushis fork out the dough?
Hmm....?
- Spoiler:
Legalised soft core porn! Nice.
So SNSD and SM havent really learnt a single thing from the past year, in fact, if anything they're pretty much revelling in the "pedo-bait" label LSM has kindly laid upon them (what a nice uncle!).
The FortyFOUR page photobooklet
What baffles us here at STAND, is how people seem to think we're sitting here telling everybody that SNSD havent sold a single album... Um... say what?!
We're just here to spread the truth behind it.
For those of you who are curious, here are a few things for you to understand about their "success":
- It's a slow comeback month. In SK things usually wrap up with the new year coming. Hence all the shows on the last few days of the new year, all those large Song Festivals, like the SBS Gayo DaeJun and KBS and MBCs respective versions. So things sorta start slow come January and you would need to give out a little something extra with a CD for it to sell... like what SM have been doing. And it helps that there is a lack of competition both in the girl group market, and the IDOL market.
- It's SME for crying out loud. Artists under SM are bound to sell a substantial amount, just by having the SME title, it's no surprise really.
- The darn economy and the Ajoushis. For those that dont understand the significance of the economy when it comes to selling CDs, I suggest researching it. At a time like this where luxuries should be kept to a minimum, it's very hard to sell something like a CD. In that case, sex sells, and the fanAjoushis that hold the moola for their families end up buying SNSDs albums... It would be hilarious to see a repackaged mini-album! Which will definately have another pedo-bait booklet.
Oh Congrats SNSD and their idiotic fans! Youve got a big seller there, with your 24 copies each (At the same level of dirty old pedophilic Ajoushis, you must be so proud!), doesnt it feel so good to get such a high amount of sales? Everyone knows why and everyone knows that groups like these dont last long, however hard you try to plug them. SM have to maintain a reputation, and will eventually drop these girls. Newer artists are so much more successful and hold so much more potential as being respected artists, not simply "meat".
Though SM should have thought things through, if they were going to completely push the "pedo-bait" concept so hard why not change their name completely... "Pedo-bait generation" would be the most suitable. And then, we would move on, as us antis would be satisfied, and they would have a label that suits them. And then they could shout out "Right now its pedo-bait generation", and the censorship board would have them out sooner than your FanAjoushis can say "where?!"

A note to mr "Soo-Man Lee", if you ever happen to stumble upon our humble site here, I suggest you buy a dictionary and finally figure out what "Producer" means, unless you physically take time and effort in to organising and producing the CD/Booklet/plastic wonders you are not really a "Producer". Next time, use a more appropriate label, such as "Sugar Daddy", "Papa DelusionFul", "Sunnys Dear Uncle", "Paedo Promoter Number1", any one would do really....
