Before I start with the joke that is "Korea China Friendship Festival" we need to remind ourselves of SNSDs reception in the Chinese version of SMTownLive earlier this year...
I just thought I had to make that clarification first. It's kindof mocking to still have them perform in a friendship festival, and of course it also doesnt bar any ill-doing from SM. Of course they would try to make their 9 girls look more favorable in the eyes of the Chinese through Channel CCTV.
Here are some pics from the event. It's seriosuly strange that even when I looked for coverage on Newsen (who covered the Asia Song Festival) and even Naver and nothing official has been released yet....
- Oh wait ~ There are no Official pictures ~ Or fan pics spamming the threads! -
If you guys are familiar with the Korean media you would know that they usually release pictures during "real-time", as in when the event itself is happening, that's why you can find a lot of pictures really quickly. Considering this is a "Friendship Festival" between Korea and China you would only imagine that there is more than just fancams available. Why the delay? Goodness knows. You would also think that since Lee JungHyun was making her Korean stage comeback in the Event, there would at least be a mention of that, or even a picture or two.
Nevertheless searching for news and pics from different places made me come across something quite hilarious.
Apparently the entirety of Cassiopeia (all 800,000) of them cheered for SNSD. Can I get a LOL?
Click on the link and view it on Internet Explorer, those who are also familiar with Cass know a few obvious points:
1 - Cass are organized first and foremost. They come together and create a "Force" of a Red Ocean. Not only are they armed with Balloons, but in the Evening (which this obviously is), they would have their glowsticks on hand. It also pretty much means that you won't find them "mixed" with other FCs, especially not S<3nes.
2 - Just listen to the screams. If Cass were truly cheering then I am pretty sure that we would all be blown away by it, since they are known and have a reputation for being so "powerful" in their support. You would also think that they would keep their cheers loudest for the people they are there to support. duh.
3 - If Cass were going to cheer for somebody then why were their fellow fans in daum so surprised and well, laughing at the poor S<3ne that's posting a 'thank you' message...
My fave quotes:
Of course, for sure hehehe
oh ho ho ho, S<3nes (can also translate to Wishful moment)!
Er... when was this?
I see...heh
For future reference, this is what Cassiopeia looks like when they go to a TVXQ event:
Not that plain blob of confusion that "cheered" for SNSD. Luckily only the Korean S<3nes were dumb enough to make a big deal out of it, and get laughed at, hopefully their International counterparts are not that dim... or are they?
